Lululemon Athletica Brisk Run Gloves
With winter rolling in and the temperatures plummeting (at least here in Colorado where we’ve apparently skipped fall altogether), Stiletto Sports Review has been gathering and reviewing some of the new cold-weather gear for all you chicks who think snow is just another reason to get outside and get going.
One of my favorite products for the fall and winter is the Lululemon Brisk Run Gloves that are not only super sleek and stylish but also have a gripy-lululemon logo on the first finger and thumb to make using touch screen electronics a little bit easier! For me, one of the most annoying things about doing anything outside in the cold is when you need to reply to a text or change a song on your iPhone and to do so you have to take off your gloves and freeze your hands off! These gloves have solved the problem with their gripy finger and thumb so now you can text away without worrying about frostbitten fingers!
One thing I was disappointed to find new for 2010 was the missing key pocket in the palm of each glove. I have a pair of Lululemon running gloves from last year with this sneaky pocket which was great because I didn't have to worry about someone finding my stashed car key while out on the trails because I could just keep it right with me. But I guess most cool-weather tights or jackets/vests now how some sort of key pocket so it's not the end of the world, but I really liked the pocket and am hoping for a return in 2011.
While these gloves are almost perfectly warm for running in any conditions, they really don’t do well for cycling in the cold. They’re warm enough for some cooler rides but without much grip (other than the finger and thumb) it can get a little tricky hanging on to the brakes or getting crisp shifting. Personally, I’ll be sticking to running or hiking with these gloves and use more of a cycling-specific glove when out on the bike.
Overall, I'd give a big thumbs up for the Lululemon Brisk Run Gloves because they are medium in warmth which is perfect for almost any running conditions and they look great whether you're out running in the mountains or just meeting a friend for some coffee. For $26 they're a great steal and would be a great idea for a stocking stuffer or gift for the holiday season coming up!
